About Georgina
Georgina grew up on the Northern Beaches, leaving briefly to study Medicine at the University of Otago in Dunedin and at the Christchurch School of Medicine.
As a junior doctor, she returned to Sydney to complete her specialist training through the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital network, spending time at RPA, Canterbury and Tweed Hospitals. She was appointed Senior Registrar at Manly Hospital in 2017 and at the brand new Northern Beaches Hospital in 2018. She has been working as a Consultant Obstetrician at Northern Beaches Hospital since 2020 and was recently appointed Head of Obstetrics.
Georgina lives locally in Frenchs Forest and is a busy mum of two primary school aged boys, so you might spot her sideline at a sporting field or running from one activity to the next.
Georgina has enthusiastically taken up ocean swimming in her 'free time' and is still trying to spot one of those elusive turtles in Cabbage Tree Bay*.

Teaching & Training
Georgina is a Clinical Senior Lecturer in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Macquarie University and is currently the Acting Discipline Lead for Obstetrics and Gynaecology for the Northern Beaches Campus. She teaches medical students formally in lectures and informally in the course of her day-to-day clinical work at the hospital.
Her teaching was recognised with a Macquarie University Excellence in Teaching Award in 2022.
In her role as a Staff Specialist at Northern Beaches hospital, Georgina is a Training Supervisor for RANZCOG trainees (training specialists) as they rotate through the hospital.
Research & Publications
Georgina has a keen interest in research and has multiple peer-reviewed publications on topics relevant to clinical obstetrics and gynaecology.
She was awarded the prestigious Crown Street Medal by RANZCOG on two separate occasions for her research, an unrivalled feat.
She also plays an active role in audit and outcome measurement within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Northern Beaches Hospital to improve services.
